<p>You can get a job with Homeland Security without majoring in it. Look at their website about employment opportunities and the kinds of experience/education required. They take Political science, international relations, psychology, etc. majors. They basically want people who are smart, understand the world and society, and are trainable. Sometimes, a major that is too job specific, is more like a “career training school” quality thing, so be careful. U of Maryland is fine, I am sure, but you don’t have to limit yourself to just that major for a career with Homeland Security, FBI, CIA, etc.</p>
