colleges only receive maths and verbal scores?

hi all, I just got my SAT scores and I got a perfect CR score but not too awesome maths and verbal score. While going through some article, I read that the colleges only receive the maths and verbal sections scores. Is is true? coz if it is then I am doomed.
helppppppppp any one plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Colleges get all three scores. Most colleges still do not give full weight to the Writing score, however (i.e. they look primarily at the Critical Reading and Math scores). There is no such thing as a “Verbal” section anymore.

@hudson can u plz explain me what exactly verbal means coz i m kinda confused.thnx

Until three or four years ago the SAT I consisted of two sections: Math and Verbal. At the urging of the University of California system, the College Board’s biggest customer, the test was revamped and the current three-section format was established. The old “Verbal” section tested students on reading comprehension, grammar, vocabularly and “reasoning skills.” It did not have a writing component, however. The new CR and Writing sections incorporate features from the old Verbal section. The focus of the Writing component, however, is a TIMED essay.

thanks hudson
