My mom was arguing with me about being absent a bit too often; she said she has heard from parents that had kids who were initially accepted but later rejected for too many absences (she said like, even 3-4 absences). Does this ACTUALLY happen?

I would expect that if someone is cutting school several days a week in their final term, something like this could happen, in the same way that if you fail a bunch of classes in your final term, your acceptance can be rescinded. I've never heard of it happening for the normal pattern of a few absences a year. Colleges do not expect students to have had perfect attendance.

What about if you're missed more than ten days every year because you get sick dreadfully easily, but still have A's in most of your honors classes? =X

If your attendance hasn't affected your academic performance, what do they care? This info isn't asked for certainly. Nor passed along to colleges in your transcript, as far as I know. I'm looking at my HS transcript right now (which got me admitted to my HYP alma mater). No where does it indicate ANY sort of attendance.

My transcript indicated how many absences a year I had... I guess some do and some don't

I don't think excused absences will make any difference at all. If you missed a whole semester or something, you might need to explain that in your application (or have your guidance counselor explain it).
