colleges that are still accepting applications

yeah i’ll “scrutinize” them…:smiley:
seriously its such a hectic work shortlisting the colleges…!
i am literally going mad…!

Many of those colleges provide merit scholarships. Some colleges’ deadline for scholarships has passed but many other colleges’ hasn’t. Coming to the need-based aid, very few colleges in US offer substantial financial aid packages but their deadlines have already passed.

Which state are you from?? How is that you came across this US admissions so late?

okay…so my chances of getting an aid is practically 0?
haha no issues:)

^Yep!! Pretty much!

i’m from karnataka…
i’m this late only cuz i’m am a very lazy person…lmao
i started some serious research only recently…and now i’m all worried …god!!

There are people from Bangalore on the “India” forum. You might get some specific help from them.

I’m going to bed now…See ya!!

sure thanks again…bye…:)

Hey guys, I’m from india too with a 1470( maths + CR) score. I’ve already applied to some good colleges, just curious as to which colleges that have a good ranking and good aid package for internationals are still open for admission in the engineering field.

You mentioned quite a few above but are there any really good ones for engineering?

Thanks

@horrace95:

Of the schools listed previously on this thread: Purdue University-West Lafayette is consistently ranked among the top 10 engineering schools in the US. Michigan State University and the University of Pittsburgh also have very strong engineering programs.

But I must warn you, even though the schools are listed as having rolling admissions and late deadlines, this may apply only to the school’s general admissions while certain departments (such as engineering) often have earlier deadlines.

apply to Augustana College IL, a know 2 men with 17xx SAT were admitted with the maximum scholarship for international students ($17k) and need-based. however, your family’s financial situation is also important.

hmm…any more colleges guys…how abt boston university…? i heard its open…?

Why would you take the word of a random stranger on the internet as to whether BU is still open for applications? Why wouldn’t you just go to the BU website?
[Critical Dates » Undergraduate Admissions | Boston University](Important Deadlines | Admissions)

also look into Siena College (near Albany)

@BlueUkiyo
Thanks man, I’ll check those out.
I was thinking of Purdue a while ago but ultimately decided to pass, I’ll look at the other two

Any of the [Association of Independent Technological Universities: AITU](http://theaitu.org) schools are strong in engineering. They each have different vibes though. Some are more research oriented and have graduate programs and others are more regional undergraduate engineering schools. They all have reputations for training engineers though and plenty of companies come recruiting.

@hangmy95, a guy from my school got accepted at Augustana (Rock Island) with a scolarship which covers the tuition fees, and I know that the scolarship is not too difficult to get if you have above 1900 SAT, mostly A’s and a good application in general. If I would have known about this then I would have applied and probably gotten it instead of the other guy from my school. Oh well, I am probably going to F&M with a scolarship that covers about 85% of the tuition, so I am not complaining.
