Colleges that are still open to applications?

Preferably good engineering universities…

Please someone reply!

Google “common application deadlines” to get a list of deadlines for schools that accept the common application.

Or Google for “colleges with late application deadlines for fall 2018”.
(CC apparently won’t allow me to post the link, but a long list is easy to find).

Even if the deadline has passed, you could still get a second chance at schools that end up underenrolled. In early May, the National Association of Admissions Counselors (nacacnet.org) will post a list of colleges that missed their enrollment targets, and which still have space available for Fall 2018.

Arizona State, Oregon State, and Colorado State – which all have large engineering programs – were on the list last year, although that doesn’t necessarily mean that they will make the list again this year.

What state are you from? Are you looking for large or small? What are your scores and GPA? There are a few that come to mind, but may not apply in your case.

Earlier today you started several threads to be chanced at several top colleges including Wellesley College which does not have engineering. Are you looking for safety schools or what?

yeah safety schools. I’m pretty sure im going to end up like those students who aimed too high and ended up with nowhere to go.

But that doesn’t mean their engineering schools were still taking applications.

No, it doesn’t, so you would have to look into that. However, there were over 500 schools on the NACAC list for Fall 2017, so it seems possible that there were some with space in engineering.

Even if your only late option at a given university was the School of Arts & Sciences, you could start taking math and science classes (which represent most of the typical freshman engineering curriculum) with the intention of transferring into the Engineering School. This may be a feasible path at some schools, but less so at others, so again you would have to do some homework.

It’s a moot point for now, since the list won’t come out until May. Better to pursue other options for now; the NACAC list is the last resort.

What kind of budget do you have?

Which engineering field do you want? First find accredited programs at ABET.org. Then check them for application due dates.

Here’s a list of schools with February and March deadlines: http://www.collegesimply.com/guides/application-deadlines/

^Although this list may be accurate, it is far from complete. I just checked a few of my favorite LACs (Allegheny, Juniata, Wooster, Muhlenberg); none are on this list; all have Feb. 15 application deadlines. None of these 4 schools have engineering, which is what the OP requested. However, they are all excellent schools with good science departments.

Florida State University (Feb. 7th & the application is kind of a pain) and University of Wyoming (Aug. 10th) both have engineering departments.

UAH June 1st. May still be able to get scholarships, but the priority deadline passed on Dec. 15th.

search colleges with rolling deadlines, PrepScholar has a blog with a huge list. I couldn’t paste it here, it may be a violation, not sure.

Popular schools listed:
