Hi @SherieAmour , my D mostly loves CA. She chose it because she wanted to be in LA as she wants to be in the entertainment business. It’s beautiful, yes, and she loves her school. It’s expensive, both the college and the city, and LA has hard parts such as incredible traffic and the industry itself is just so hard to build a career in.
Which school are you asking about if it is religious and Jewish students attend?
I definitely don’t get the vibe that Utah is a commuter school from my friend’s daughter. I don’t even think she comes home in the summer. It sounds like she spends her weekends doing fabulous outdoor things like hiking, camping, rock climbing, boating and skiing!!!
I’ll second the above mom’s opinion that non preppy friends at Elon are easy to come by! My son has both, mostly non preppy, and he’s also incredibly happy with his choice.
