Hi everyone. My problem in college applications is this: a lower GPA. My GPA is a 3.4 because of my freshmen GPA: a 3.1. My sophomore GPA was a 3.4, my Junior GPA was a 3.7 and my senior GPA is (i'm proud to say) a 3.85 so far.
Are there any colleges that don't look at freshmen year? I got my act together later on and I hate how my freshmen B's and C's brought me down.
Thanks

UC and CSU calculate their admissions GPA from 10th and 11th grade course grades, although courses taken in 9th grade still need to be passed with a C or higher grade to be used against admissions requirements.

I know the UCs do not.

Xposted with UCB.

thing is, I’m an east coaster! also, i’m not looking into top tier schools (one of the few on CC, I’m sure) and at the state universities I favor my freshmen grades definitely hurt me

Carnegie Mellon doesn’t look at 9th
