Hi, I can’t get my counselor at my old high school to send transcripts anymore. Are there any universities that don’t require them for transfers? Please only comment the universities and not advice on my situation. Thanks
What is the counselor’s excuse? Have you tried communicating with their boss?
California publics do not require high school stuff for junior level transfers.
I would feel all colleges would required high school transcripts for proof HS diploma but that is just my two cents they may not require SAT scores but transcripts from institutions you have enrolled in I feel that counts high school. That seems weird that school would not send you’re transcripts maybe trying talking to higher up than the counselor
Well, you said not to but only thing you have to do is go to your school board website and they should have information on how to request a transcript or you could call. There’s a small window on processing HS transcript after graduation from your high school counselor. There’s a way around everything. Or is it because of HS academic record. Anyway, towards your request, there are a number of universities that do not require HS transcripts usually if you have over 30+ credits.
RIT
UMass
Syracuse U
Temple U
UFlorida
FSU
American U
UMiami
There’s more but those are the ones I applied to that didn’t need my high school transcript. WAIT…stay away from all New York schools because they require that before you begin classes you have to submit a high school transcript eventually. Even if the school doesn’t request it.
So take off Syracuse and RIT. You’ve to pay attention to state laws as well in your case. Personally, regardless of your situation. There’s always a way around it but words to you. You’re severely limited by this outcome. You need to fix it so that you can broaden your chooses. That’s not advice. That’s a fact.
From his other threads, it seems like OP did poorly in hs and hopes to conceal that, not that he’s unable to get those transcripts.
If you have been out of school for a while, the records might be held somewhere else in the school system rather than at your old high school. If you cannot get your record by requesting it from the high school guidance office, contact the school district, and ask the registrar what you need to do to get your records.
Lots of public universities don’t require HS transcripts if the applicant has at least one year of transferrable college credits. Start with the ones in your own home state.
If you are taking classes that would put you over the 30 credit requirement, but have not completed them at the time of your application, do you need to submit transcripts?
High school transcripts that is
Arinix - You need to check with each college and universities. It is possible that some won’t require the HS transcripts provided you will have finished those 30 credits before you actually enroll.
Bard has a couple of different ways to apply as a freshman, and I THINK that one or two may allow you to not submit a HS transcript. You’d have to check their website and see if they do something similar for transfers. Sorry – this is more of a lead than an answer.
Thanks
