Colleges that don't require high school transcripts

<p>Hey,</p>

<p>Can anyone add to my list of colleges and universities that don't require high school transcripts for transfer students?</p>

<p>These are the ones I have so far:</p>

<p>UNR
UNLV
CSU and UC system
Howard
WPI</p>

<p>Why? If you've shown improvement, then ur HS transcript won't matter as much.</p>

<p>I imagine there are plenty of reasons why people would prefer not to send their high school transcripts. I don't see the harm in compiling a list of schools that don't require it.</p>

<p>GWU doesn't once you hit 40 college credits, i think</p>

<p>Emory doesn't once you hit 60...</p>

<p>WHat if you have 36 credits from your current college and came in with 15 from HS do they count the HS as part of the 40?</p>

<p>If your college transcript has 40 credits on it, but it's best to call and ask about specifics...</p>

<p>USC doesn't either only if you are international and applying as a US Transfer.</p>

<p>NYU & Virginia will take notarized copies of any original documents from the high school that the student possess.</p>

<p>FWIW, NYU was a real stickler about getting my HS transcript even though I had about 60 credits...</p>

Rensselaer (with > 4 semesters)
U of the Pacific (with > 30 semester credits)</p>

<p>Anyone know of more (preferably top-tier) schools NOT requiring a hs transcript? </p>

<p>GWU doesn’t require HS transcipts if you are a student with 30 or more transferrable credits :-)</p>

<p>For Emory that is not true. I just called them this morning and they said you can actually waive your SAT requirements after 50 but not your HS transcript.</p>

<p>Other schools:</p>

<p>University of Rochester (you have to send in your college transcripts showing you’ve done over 1 year of college work and then call Tanya, the transfer admissions officer)
The Ohio State University (after 45 quarter credits or 30 semester credits you don’t have to submit your SATs or your HS transcript)
University of Maryland (same with OSU)
University of Rhode Island
SUNY at Binghamton</p>

<p>Rochester Institute of Technology if you have >30 credits. (They also waive the application fee for PTK members)</p>

<p>Emory’s website says you can request to waive your high school transcript if you have completed 2+ years of college level work.</p>
