Colleges that don't track demonstrated interest

Hi everyone,

Could anyone recommend me some good colleges for business/econ that don’t track demonstrated interest? I’m looking for some last minute editions.

Thanks!

Applying late does not mean you are not interested. As long as you write well thought-out essays and are a good fit for the school, your application will be given serious consideration.

Also demonstrated interest may include getting on their email list; sending an adcom an email with a good question that you can’t answer from their website; attending an outreach program near you; seeking out an alumni interview near you. etc.

Amherst - they don’t even have a registration card, either online or at the college, to fill out when you do a tour - you just line up in front of the admissions building and off you go.

@Alexandre Hey! Yes, I know, but there’s still not a lot of time to let my admission counselors get to know me. I feel like contacting them a month before the application deadline won’t look that good, you know what I mean? ( @Dustyfeathers this kinda goes with what you said).

@Chembiodad Hey, thanks for your response. I’ll definitely check it out, it looks like a great school!

Its been a while since i did college apps, but why would the college automatically assume you are considering it last minute? It could very well be that you have been preparing your app for months and months and you don’t wanna submit it yet because you wanna still work on it.

If you Google the common data set for each college you are interested in you can see which ones care about demonstrated interest.and which do not. Without any data about your academic stats, financial needs, and preferences in a college it is impossible to make meaningful suggestions.

@Penn95 Hey! Yes, I definitely agree, but what I meant was that emailing a college only a month before the deadline would be a big tell that I only started considering it recently. I emailed most of my choices in summer and have been contacting my admission counselors since then, so starting to do that now might seem a bit off, you know what I mean?

@happy1 Hi! Thanks for the reply. I look at Common Data Sets a lot but I need some additions to my list. Here are my stats, if that helps:

GPA: 3.9
SAT: 1460
Predicted IB score: 44
ECs: President of Model United Nations Club and organizer of my school’s first international conference, President of Student Council, Soprano at school’s choir, Volleyball, Volunteering as an English Teacher at local kindergartens, Editor of School’s Newspaper and Yearbook
Awards: Valectidotiran in 9th grade (I’m from Montenegro, our system is very different), awarded ‘best in class’ for 5/6 of my IB subjects, 2 times awarded ‘Best Delegate’ award in MUN
Hooks: International student from Montenegro who has spent her last 2 years of hs in an international school in the Czech Republic, I speak 4 languages

I’m also looking for as big of a scholarship (or financial aid award) as I can get. I come from a pretty poor country so you can imagine how hard it would be for my parents to pay for college tuition at an American college.

Thanks!
