Colleges that offer financial aid to international students

Hello all,

I am really dedicated to transfering to a US university after my first year (i’m about to start my first year). Please could someone give me some US universities / colleges that offer financial aid for international students? I am not aiming for the very top colleges, but reasonably good ones (ranks 20-70)

Those are the only ones that give need based aid to internationals! Some schools give merit aid to internationals. Also, transfer students, even domestic, get less aid than freshmen.

Thanks, seems Skidmore, Bates College and Trinity College are my best options. Are these difficult to get in?

You better stay at your own country. How much can you pay per year?
If you need more than 10~20k+, you re out of luck because schools that do give int student transfer scholarship dont’ give more than that

But if you scroll down on this page, it says the average financial aid given to international students was about $50k…

But you should also note that 7 out of the 10 universities, are the most selective in the country, probably accepting only a handful of International applicants that require financial aid.

That’s for ALL international student bodies. It doesn’t say freshmen or transfer, and vast majority of aids givne to int kids are for freshmen kids

Also, average doens’t mean anything here.

And many of those who receive financial aid are recruited athletes!

International transfers barely get any financial aid. If you need serious financial aid packages (full tuition, for instance), you MUST take a gap year and apply as a freshman. If you are very low income, you can apply to Berea College (only 5% internationals are admitted but they all get a full tuition scholarship + opportunity to work for room/board).
