Colleges that offer instate tuition to out of state students

Looking at state colleges that offer engineering degrees that offer instate tuition to out of state students. Not just national merit. Hoping for maybe an ACT or SAT cutoff.

So many state schools won't even send out information, just have to glean what can off internet until can visit.

If we can possibly QUALIFY for instate tuition, would help narrow down the app list.

Number keeps growing as having to move closer to home.

University of Alabama - Tuscaloosa is awesome in that regard. First of all, the OOS tuition by itself is only a mere 10k. You get scholarships for certain scores on the ACT with the highest resulting in a full tuition scholarship for a 32 ACT.

University of Arkansas also offers instate tuition to those who score above a certain range–I think it was ~1100 on the SAT, but I don’t exactly remember. And their engineering school is actually pretty good, my tour guide said that they usually win a lot of robotics competitions and the like. Plus Fayetteville is in a really beautiful part of Arkansas.

University of Nebraska - Lincoln

BYU’s tuition is about $ 3,000 per year right? And it’s private so that’s regardless of geographical residence.

Sorry, I can’t find the old thread. My post has been moved. Can someone please direct me? Thanks!

I think NC State provides instate to good students.
