Colleges that OVER admitted - can we start a list now?

We have had a letter from Mount Holyoke attempting to encourage at least 30 women to defer to spring admit because they have mis-predicted their yield for this year. Word is they are over by about 100 students. (Out of a usual class of only 550).

Any other colleges miss the mark this year?

VT missed the mark terribly last year - I’ll be interested to see how they did this year by lowering the admit rate.

Purdue over enrolled by 500 students.

UCI had an overyield situation last year. They enforced admission conditions more strictly than usual (e.g. rescinding admission because a high school’s tardy final transcript sending was a day late), but generated enough of a backlash after media publicity that they had to back down (except for academic deficiencies like D or F grades in senior year or senior year GPA below the minimum stated in the admission offer).
