Colleges/Unis in NE/PA/MD Area for Biochemistry!!

I've been looking for schools in the NE/PA/MD area that have majors in Biochem, but I've only really fell in love with Boston College (Brown came second....but I doubt I'll get in there anyway!). A lot of colleges offer a Molecular Biology major, which sounds pretty cool too, but I'd prefer Biochem. I've already looked at random colleges' majors lists, but if anyone knows of a place in NE/PA/MD that offers Biochem and is similar to Boston College (in terms of size, difficulty to get into, etc...), please let me know!

If anyone wants to know my grades/EC/etc., they're in this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=173453

Thanks!!

From my, limited, understanding of the subject, molecular biology and biochemistry are extremely similar. Both focus on the chemical interactions of particles that play roles in organisms.

This is to the point that in some course catalogs, the two are listed together.

I know that they are similar, but their descriptions according to collegeboard.com are different enough to make me prefer biochem.

Bump!

You might try Muhlenberg College. They have an excellent science department with biochemistry.

bucknell supposedly has a very good program, though obviously its a bit different than boston college in terms of size and location.

Lafayette College has pretty good programs in the sciences, as does Lehigh University.
