Colleges/Universities to apply Early Action?

Hi everybody,

During this fall I’m applying Early Decision to Brown, and am now looking at colleges to apply Early Action to.

I was wondering if any of you can give me suggestions as to the good schools that offer non-binding Early Action plans?

Right now I’m applying to Northeastern and am considering Dickinson.

I’m also an international student so any schools that offer financial aids to international students would be awesome.

Some of the things I’m looking for at a college:

  • Good programs in either International Relations, Economics or Psychology
  • Good job opportunities offered after college
  • Liberal and friendly student population.
  • Not too insanely party-ish
  • In/near a great college town, or some urban area. I don't want to be studying in a rural area for 4 years.

Thank you so much.

What are your stats?

Early decision is binding… You aren’t supposed to apply to other schools early if you do ED.

^^^^Incorrect! Most ED schools allow you to apply EA elsewhere. A few do not. Check each school’s ED requirements.

Boston College
Villanova
Fordham

While Brown ED allows you to apply EA other places, the reverse is not always true. That is, some schools with EA do not allow you to apply if you’re applying ED elsewhere (thinking of Georgetown specifically, others maybe as well - always check the policy of each school.)
