You guys know of any TOP schools with a second round of early decision. I know emory has one. Any comments?

I know Tufts does...a bunch of the other smaller (but still prestigious) liberal arts colleges do too.

oberlin and hamilton

CMU? I think, not sure
Lehigh

Rice (Dec. 1st deadline, though)
Wash U St. Louis (Jan. 1st deadline)

Every NESCAC school besides Williams and Amherst.

Bowdoin College does. This is top notch school, check it out. http://www.bowdoin.edu

i think vassar has edii as well.

Smith, Wellesley

Spikemom, Wellesley does not have EDII. They do, however, have early evaluation, in which they give you a sign as to whether you will be admitted RD. In that case, you can send in supplementary materials to sway their decision.

How good are bowdoin bates colby? i am looking at prelaw or maybe going into invest. banking or premed

Kenyon has an ED II application plan too... I would say all 3 colleges you have mentioned are pretty good... But each school got their own unique personality and it's important to find a good "fit".

Bucknell, Lafayette

Bowdoin is extremely good all around. If you go to Bowdoin you will have opportunity to go to any elite graduate school. Of the bowdoin applicants that apply to law school 85% of the applicants get accepted to at least one law school (schools include: Columbia, Harvard, U Michigan, Yale, BC, NYU, Georgetown, Upenn etc). Likewise for Med school applicants 91% are accepted to at least one med school (schools include: Harvard, Mayo, UCSF, Brown, Dartmouth, Upenn, Cornell, etc). As for business, Bowdoin has an economics department that gardners raves from all its students. Alumni that I have spoke to either have gone on to get jobs on wall street or gone on to get an MBA at elite business schools. No matter whether you choose a path in law, medicine, or business you will have ability to be sucessful. Part of the reason Bowdoin is so successful is its strong pre-professional advising and its intimate learning enviroment (a) there are no TAs and b) some upper level classes have only 4 or 5 people in them, so you get to know the professors).

On another note, Bowdoin also has the BEST food of all colleges in the country (according to Princeton Review)

If you have any more questions about Bowdoin drop me either an email or IM me.

Reed has EDII.

Just wanted to compile a cumulative list so far. =]

Bowdoin College
Vassar
Smith
Kenyon
Bucknell

yes cmu does have ed II but it passed dec 15th

i dont know much about oberlin. Reedies are too nerdie and intellectual and doesnt have what i am looking for. lafayette doesnt have the grad school placement i am looking to get into. i want to go to a top mba or law school. i like bucknell but i want to weigh my options.

Any infor on kenyon, oberlin, or vassar? not very familiar with them. i want to go into ibanking, premed, or law school

I am male so Smith can be eliminated. i hate maine so bye bowdoin. I will into WUSTL. i am already applying to rice. I sent in that app already. CMU-not a science dude here. Hamiliton doesnt have a good rep i heard. So i will look at Emory and Tufts.

Please feel free to make any comments?

I believe that Rice does not have an ED 2 policy, but rather an interum decision plan where u hear in February rather than in April, it is non-binding. However, it is really tough to get in( i got in last year), and they defer many to the april round. Good luck!

GWU-deadline Jan 10th.
