And I'm not just talking about those schools that simply don't accept AP credit at all, or of those courses related to your major, but of special cases. Here's one to get started:

USC: Viterbi, Engineering doesn't accept AP Physics credits because their physics courses are not designed to focus on Mechanics or E&M. Therefore all Viterbi freshmen have to take physics

At Berkeley, majors in the College of Letters and Science each have their own AP subject credit policies. These are not necessarily the same as other majors or divisions. However, credit units are standard across UC.

RIT: For all engineering students:

Exam score of 4 & 5 in AP C - Mechanics
Student needs to take 1-credit class of Waves to equal to University Physics I.

Exam score of 4 & 5 in AP C - Electricity & Magnetism
Student needs to take 1-credit class of Optics to equal to University Physics II.

Scores of 3 in either exams
Student receives no credit for University Physics I or II.

I didn’t send in any of my AP scores and still got into most of the colleges I applied to. Honestly don’t think they matter. Most colleges don’t really offer you credit anyways
