I am a student from Bangladesh thinking of studying in the US. My problem is I recently enrolled in a college in my own country and that means I have to apply to most colleges as transfers (something I don't want to do right now since most colleges recommend completing one year before applying for transfer). So I what I would like are some colleges in the US which allow you to apply as freshman even when you are already enrolled in the first year of another college.

You are considered a 'tranfer' only after some specific credit hours of college..not because u have just enrolled college..how long exactly has it been? I guess u will have to open up college brochures to find out details regarding their policies about freshman and tranfers...believe me every college has certain fixed credit hours to differentiate between freshman and transfer..or else.. can't u say to the colleges that u have never joined any college?... wouldn't that be alright?

If its not long yet then (may be...I am not too sure) the current studies may be considered as 'Tertiary Studies',for this you will have to do a lot of research on the college(s) sites where u wish to apply...

so its down to research then eh? Thanks everyone, I suppose I was trying to take the easy way out, but there's no substitute for good hard research I guess. Luckily I have 5-6 colleges in my list already, so it's not that important that I expand my options.

that's right, but have you considered the psychological factor? I remember emailing a bunch of colleges with this question, and boy, it was disheartening when I received a string of replies stating I would have to apply as transfer. They looked to me almost like rejection emails lol.

Joking aside, I think that's what I will do, thanks isaac.
