Colleges which would most likely accept crazy essays

I once created topic "most 'crazy' colleges" which was quite vague as many demanded my explaining, so I finally come up with this new thread, insisting in essays. Colleges accepting students with crazy essays would most likely be crazy, huh, isn't it?
My point now is that, many start their essays to be funny, humourous then creative then even crazy even they recognize of not, some of my friends started with creative writting but output was a crazy one T_T ,so should we send them for colleges? Which colleges appreciate? Show evidence if you can :)

University of Chicago

This was just in the Washington Post a while ago:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/07/05/AR2006070501535.html

One of my friends wrote all his Stanford essays tongue-in-cheek, sprinking subtle humor throughout the text while intelligently implying a point of relevance regarding his qualities warranting admission. It worked brilliantly.

I would have to say Harvey Mudd.

Reed College, Carleton College

Bennington, hampshire, Sarah Lawrence, the wierd LACS seem to be your best bet or a crazy essay.

probably Wesleyan and Brown bc they have a lot of crazy people there

I don't know about undergrad, but Duke Law School apparently has a sense of humor because Tucker Max sent in this essay: http://www.tuckermax.com/archives/entries/my_real_life_law_school_application_essay.phtml#631 and still got in. haha

any of the more liberal LACs

"and still got in"

Wow, not even Duke requires perfect grammar.

Tufts would - through their new "experimental" application supplement.

Reid probably would like that

Wesleyan.....?

UC campuses just because its different from the hordes of template like essays they recieve.

I'm looking forward to the Tufts experimental application... I think it'll be fun to fill out :)

So, I'm guessing most colleges generally don't look too highly at essays that are written matter of factly and in 'official' form, like a research paper or news article?

yeah, if they get 5000+ essays that are basically the same, you're better off writing one that will at least set you apart, IMO.
