Hello all,
I want to preface this by saying that I'm not lazy. I am 100% aware that the point of college is to get a degree, and that that is what I am paying for. That said, just like life, college shouldn't be about ONLY working (at least, in my opinion). Now, I'm not big into drinking, partying, or any of that.
I just want to know if there are any good schools which are challenging but don't completely consume your life with academics. Or is it more based on which and how many classes you take?

You’ll be able to party and study no matter where you go. I would suggest a highly ranked state school (penn state, UMich, UW Madison) for the biggest partying and hardworking mindset… what state are you in OP?

There are so many good schools which subscribe to a work hard, play hard mindset that it’s probably easier to list the ones which don’t follow that mentality. At Emory for example it’s common to see people studying in the library at all hours of the night during the weekdays and then hitting up frat parties, concerts, bars, etc on the weekends. Even at CalTech, houses host various parties on the weekends which often draw hundreds of students (an impressive feat for a school with a student body of fewer than 1000).
