I'm looking to go back to school after 2 years in the videogame industry and I'd like to fill in gaps in my knowledge. I was particularly curious about schools in California( more or less because it's where I grew up ). I do plan to go to a CC for a short time( so I can continue working freelance ) and transfer to a CS or UC school, but it's been quite some time since I've done any searching.

It boils down to me asking if anyone has recommendations for colleges with extensive and rigorous Computer Science and Physics programs. Thankyou for your advice.

Berkeley, Stanford, and CalTech are tops.

For a less selective school, USC has a good CS department.

I currently have a friend at the USC CS department and he seems to be liking it, very trial by fire type of program.

Community college to a top UC or USC is the way to go. Save your money.
