I have a friend that made a site with all of these colleges with free applications, so I was skimming through them and realizing there's some decent schools. I ended up applying to some of them, the one's with no essays, just to see if I got in. I ended up getting into the majorty, but was funny is the amount of money they were going to give me. Now I'm reconsidering where I'm going. Have any of you hit up a ton of colleges just because it was free to apply?

No. I've wanted to at times (and I do have 2 free ones) but I wanted "right" colleges, not just because they were free. :p

I wouldn't apply to a school just because its free. Although if a school I was interested in happened to be free to apply all the better.

can u give their names kinglin!

lewis & clark's app is free if you apply online.... and the supplement is really short, no essays but some short anwers. i have also been getting alot of mail from tulane saying there is no app fee or essays but... im not sure you want to go to tulane right now...

I've recieved a handful of apps where the fee is waived, no essay and earlier notice about their decision if the app is handed in earlier. But I didnt apply to them because those colleges werent my top choices and my school limits the amount of schools I can apply to.
Kinglin, how much money did those schools offer you? Was it more than what other schools offered you?

Here's your christmas present from Kinglin... enjoy :)

Yeah, I got the Tulane one in the mail, and considered applying just to see... but then I realized I'd have to pay $7 dollars for my ACT scores to be sent to them, and it started to seem like a lot of effort...

me too with Tulane! I was like..oh..free...oh..SAT scores.
