My favorite is probably USC. One that probably wasn’t mentioned that I really like is UAB. Other favorites include Army and Navy, South Carolina, Virginia, and Cornell

USC for sure

Notre Dame has the greatest fight song in college football

Learning a lot here! My first reaction to this idea was, “Aren’t there only about 3 songs out there? Just with varying words?” LOL

I’ve always liked, “I’m a rambling wreck from Georgia Tech, and a heck of an engineer.”

Earlham has my vote for creativity!

I’m partial to “Fight on Pennsylvania”.

Fight on, Pennsylvania!
Put the ball across that line.
Fight you Pennsylvanians!
There it goes across this time.
Red and blue we’re with you
And we’re cheering for your men.
So it’s fight, fight, fight Pennsylvania
Fight on for Penn!

You can hear all the Penn songs at http://www.pennband.com/

Florida, “Orange and Blue”

USC’s fight song is ok, but I could never sit in the stadium listening to Song of Troy over and over again.

Penn State has the very best football fight songs.

Minnesota with the chant at the end is great especially at hockey games.

USC has the best by far in my opinion, Conquest and Fight On. Auburn, Kentucky, Michigan, and Notre Dame also have great fight songs. I think that Notre Dame’s alma mater is better though

That’s easy.

“On Wisconsin” all the way. Easily the best, in my not so humble opinion.

Michigan’s “The Victors”, and only Notre Dame even comes close

“Oh Here’s to Wake Forest” is a drinking song for a school that was seriously Baptist at the time. Go figure.

NulliSecundus, isn’t Cornell’s just “Give My Regards to Broadway”? I always thought that was kind of a cop-out.

Bear down arizona!

^Emerlus: I agree 100%. “On Wisconsin” is awesome. But the combination of “OH-IO” and “Hang on Sloopy” at Ohio State games is addictive…

I like that in the Texas Fight song, the words, “And it’s good bye to A&M” are included, while in the Aggie War Hymn, it’s “Goodbye to texas university.” (NOTE that they refuse to capitalize Texas or University - it’s quite a big deal to them.)

Definitely St. Olafs

Michigan actually has two great fight songs - not only “The Victors”, but also “Varsity”, written by two Michigan students in 1911.

Both of them can still get me on my feet and cheering. DS’s elementary school adopted “The Victors” for its school song - when I went to the first assembly, I couldn’t figure out they were honoring my alma mater until I listened to the lyrics.
