SlightManifesto, I’m surprised to see a Big East fan knowing a Big Ten school’s Fight Song. A+ on Purdue’s Fight Song.

I googled for the lyrics, but I can do a pretty good job singing them w/o looking them up. I did add the Boiler Up though (it wasn’t in the copypasta lyrics).

But yeah, Purdue’s fight song is catchy as hell. I love watching their games on TV b/c every 3rd down stop they have the train (uhhh…honking?) with the simultaneous Boiler Up chant (As in "Honk, Honk, Boiler Up! Honk, Honk, Boiler Up!..). Fun to listen to - must **** off opposing players/fans though haha.

I know Purdue’s more than most Big East fans b/c I’m thinking of applying there next year. Not my first choice, but I will apply there. For other D1 football schools, also thinking of applying to UIUC and GT. And then some small schools w/o a football team.

EDIT: I forgot another awesome fight song - Clemson! Best rendition of the Tiger Rag amongst D1 fight songs (LSU, and many other teams?). That one is guaranteed to be stuck in your head for a week after you first hear it. (The repeated “Where’s that Tiger? Hold that Tiger” line could be to blame).

This shouldn’t even be a thread

Hail! to the victors valiant
Hail! to the con’quring heroes
Hail! Hail! to MICHIGAN the champions of the West!

GO BLUE

Texas…FIGHT…Texas…FIGHT…Texas…FIGHT

Obviously, I’m biased, but here are two videos of UVa students singing the Good Ol’ Song followed by our traditional chant.

We actually sing this song after [games (and touchdowns](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4-sHpwqPPo)), [concerts (watch for the sway), social events](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yG20yEU420), etc. There are Youtube videos of people singing it at weddings, always with linked arms, always with a sway. :)

The night before finals, in one of the more popular libraries:

We have [an official fight song](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EshBTOd0Rvg), but most people only sing the part at the very end (Go Wahoos!). The Good Ol’ Song is the more popular song.

On Wisconsin, which is 100 years old. The University at this website: [Celebrating 100 years of “On, Wisconsin!”](http://onwisconsin.wisc.edu/), is sponsoring a contest for the best amateur version of the song. Nearly all of the submissions are energetic but dreadful. But check out the Hip Hop version of the song here: (http://www.youtube.com/user/uwmadison#p/c/580D85CD8702E1EE/29/Fbe_H5n_1qY).

And while this is not a fight song, check this out from a UNC graduation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zqLpbUOZbM

SlightManifesto, at least you knew the Boiler Up part in the end! lol

Yeah, we do a lot of chants like that. If we get a first down, we say “One, Two, Three, Four, First Downnnnnnn-B****!” while raising an additional finger for each number. Oh, I miss those times…

It’s definitely a great school to apply to! Best of luck

Recently, I have seen a movie named High-School 3. In the movie, I have listend many nice songs which is filled with power, energy and good spirit.
