Colleges with good merit scholarships?

Hi everyone!

I was wondering if I could get some insight into colleges that have good/big merit scholarships? Preferably on the east coast or west coast and location near/at a city. I am planning to study poli sci and want to go to law school (so undergrad cost is a huge concern for me and my EFC is quite high).

Here are my stats:

GPA UW: 3.8
GPA W: 4.2
ACT: haven’t taken it but predicted to be around 32
APs: 7 + 3 honors classes
Extracurriculars:
-founder/exec director of my own political organization
-national project director of an activism society
-logistics officer for my school’s Model UN
-National Honors Society
-Board member of my city’s teen philanthropy program
-congressional internship
-tutor for three years
-political intern for my county’s democratic party

The best merit aid will be found OUTSIDE the West/East coasts.
Maine has a “tuition match” system whereby you pay the same as your state’s instate tuition.
Also, most merit aid at public universities will be based on test scores. I know UMass Lowell, Towson, Temple, UMW, CNU, SUNY Albany offer merit scholarships but I’m not sure they’re “big”.
You can also look at Colleges that Change Lives and LACs ranked 40-125.
What can your parents afford?
Were you able to take the PSAT and is there any chance you’d be a NMF?

Agree with myos’ suggestions above, reiterating need to know your budget and to look at LACs.

What state do you live in?

Are you a high school senior now??

I’m a junior

California!

can your parents afford full costs out of pocket at UC’s? At CSU’s?

You are a resident of California with a huge huge number of UCs and Cal States which are a bargain for instate students.

Are you saying your parents won’t pay at all for your college education?
