colleges with medical schools

i need a list of schools in the us that connect with a medical school, so a 7 or 8 year program. i live in new jersey so I've come up with tcnj rutgers and montclair state all having this program but id like some others. and im also not looking tonging to an ivy league school. thanks

There are a lot of programs like this. It’s called a BA/MD program, so you can google that and a bunch of options will come up, but here are some of them:

Union College has one, 4 years at Union, and then 4 years at Albany Medical College.
[LIM - Leadership in Medicine](http://www.union.edu/Academics/LIM/Program/index.php)

Rice University in Texas has an 8 year program with Baylor College of Medicine. I couldn’t find a link, but I know it’s there. I’m not sure what you meant by not wanting to go to an Ivy, but if it’s because of selectivity, then Rice might not be the answer, because this program is also quite selective.

Boston University’s is accelerated and provisional, so you have to maintain a certain GPA and get a certain score on the MCAT.
[Boston University Arts & Sciences](http://www.bu.edu/cas/academics/undergraduate/special/)

These are just a few, but here is a link to a website with a bunch more:

Also keep in mind that some are guaranteed admission to medical school, while some are provisional, so you would have to take the MCAT and maintain a high GPA, which might be less desirable, as it doesn’t really take any stress off of the medical school process. Also, some schools allow you to apply out to other medical schools, but some don’t, so that is something that you should check on as well.

Good luck!

USC also offers the Baccalaureate/M.D. program. It is quite selective as well. Today it was announced the School of Medicine received a large donation of $150 million from the Keck Foundation. The medical school also received a donation of $5 million from a former faculty member, Dr. Zilkha last month.

Interdisciplinary programs with the USC Davis School of Gerontology and the Viterbi School of Engineering are options.

[RPI Biology: Accelerated Physician-Scientist Program (B.S./M.D.)](<a href=“Academic Programs | Science at Rensselaer”>Academic Programs | Science at Rensselaer)

University of Rochester has an Early Medical Scholars (REMS) Program.

Very selective, 8 year program. I’ve heard excellent things about this program. It’s an extremely good school too, with one of the best medical schools in the country.

When we visited URoch this spring, the admissions rep said that they typically have 900 applicants for 10 spots.

If you go to the main page where all the forums are listed, and then scroll down, you will eventually find the Med School forum. There are multiple threads on this topic in the subforums.
