are there any that require no application fee? I'm not talking about a fee-waiver because you have to be financially eligible for that I believe.

Wellesley, Hamilton, Pacific Lutheran, Baylor, Rhodes and there a few more state schools. I believe some of these schools are free on-line.

umm i think american university in DC waives for online submission. i think maybe syracuse too but not sure

Case Western Reserve and Carleton College are also free for online applications.

This perk didn't make me apply anywhere, but it was appreciated, especially after you fork over the $70 for each Ivy application (endowments like that, and their app fees are STILL among the, if not the most expensive. I know that they get a million gazillion apps and that they have to hire people to read those apps and that they would only get MORE apps if they were free, but I really don't see the justification for such an exorbitant app fee).

This site has a pretty good listing:
http://www.porcelina.net/freeapps/listings.html

a bunch will waive app fees and send letters to you if you do well

I extracted my information from that website but some schools on the list require you to fill out your FAFSA that must mean need base aid. Therefore, I only keep the list of schools that have visited their website and confirmed the free application.

Thanks..
Hm.. Liberty University...might be fun to write an essay to spite them...
