colleges with pretty campuses?

hiya! I'm looking for a college that's not only academically impressive but also superficially impressive (as in the looks and such) Colleges can range from ivies to state colleges, just narrowing down my options.

I've heard Princeton is pretty impressive with its Gothic architecture which bring you back in time so to speak. but what about colleges that look like hogwarts? "any spell bounding" ones you can think of lol? I don't know about you guys but I'm sort of a harry potter fan and it would be really cool if there was a college close to that theme. thanks for you inputs.

Chicago
Duke
Harvard
Princeton
Cornell

Yale looks like Hogwarts. Dartmouth has the classic New England look and feel with its Georgian architectures. Stanford is gorgeous too.

The freshman dining hall at Harvard:

Memorial Hall;

Rhodes.

^that looks like just about every rural/suburban college in the eastern US :b

Rice, Amherst, Stanford, William & Mary, Duke, Emory, Princeton, Davdison

all the ivys are really nice in their own ways but if i were to rank them by campus “prettyness” haha i would say: princeton, yale, harvard, cornell, penn, columbia, brown, dartmouth

duke notre dame villanova and boston college are very similar… kinda like princeton as well

NYU is nice if you like the city… right around the park in NYC

william and mary is nice, millions of bricks haha

stanford

emory in atlanta… somewhat urbanish

The search function is a wonderful tool.

Of Colleges I have visited, I particularly like the University of Mary Washington, UVA, William & Mary, and Princeton.

Princeton, Stanford, UVA, Holy Cross, Boston College, University of Richmond, Notre Dame, Johns Hopkins

Yes, I am not a fan of the gothic architecture. I like Wake Forest, University of Virginia, and North Carolina-Chapel Hill the most.

WUSTL, Chicago, Duke, Sewanee…

I didn’t like Duke’s architecture - too mixed up, and there are a couple of just awful looking buildings on their campus. A couple of beautiful ones, but the campus as a whole doesn’t compete with some of these other places mentioned.

Syracuse University

Among the LACs, Bowdoin and Middlebury have exceptionally pretty campuses/locations. In the midwest, Grinnell’s architecture is striking.

Duke, Holy Cross, Dartmouth, Notre Dame.

Kenyon. Sorry, I am not a Harry Potter fan but they told us on the tour that they had considered using their dining hall, which is located in a converted church, as the dining hall in the movie. I don’t know if that is true but there is a striking resemblance according to my D.

Would have to second Wake, Syracuse, and UNC.

South Carolina has a beautiful campus as well, and the campus rec center looks like a resort.
