colleges with strong art programs

trying to sty on east coast ...any suggestions

I know Carnegie Mellon is good! And if you are looking for art-only schools, I think the Maryland Institute College of Art, as well as the Rhode Island School of Design (I think RISD is a little better than MICA but I’m not completely sure).

I hope this kind of helped! lol

List of art schools…

Ranked fine arts programs…

I’d recommend Savannah College of Art and Design, Rhode Island, or Art Institute of Chicago. I assume RI and Chicago are well regarded and in the southeast people have heard of SCAD. I’ve had a number of friends who liked their experience there.

And take those rankings with a grain of salt. Wouldn’t put much stock in them.

Syracuse, Suny Purchase, Bard, Tufts and VCU.

What is your area of art?

What is your budget? (art schools are expensive and they often do not give much aid.)

I have been to RSDI, Pratt, Purchase (hated Purchase) SAIC, Syracuse and Massart. I really liked Syracuse, and Massart. I found Pratt EXTREMELY depressing, maybe I was there on a bad day. I am into industrial design, interior design, and product design. No fine arts. I am really having a hard time, also anyone know about Ringling or SCAD?

also my ACT’s are not great, but my portfolio was reviewed at Syracuse and SAIC and I was passed at both schools.
