What colleges have some of the nicest dorms on average? Especially for freshmen?

i hear bowdoin has great ones.

I heard that Amherst has some of the most amazing dorms on the face of the planet.

Loyola in Maryland.

Washington University in St. Louis

WashU dorms are amazing. The Commons at Vanderbilt is not bad either (it's brand new and for freshman).

Smith, Bryn Mawr, George Washington

For my money (literally!) the old houses at Bennington are incredible. The rooms are big, have hardwood floors, large windows, crown moulding, etc. Each house also has a common space with HUGE old windows, french doors, and fireplaces with wood provided by the college. They are big, white, New England clapboard houses, and are just beautiful!

suprised that no one mentioned claramont. their dorms are said to be like palaces

clark kerr at berkeley are huge

I've heard Pepperdine's are amazing...

Women's colleges in general tend to have nice ones.
