<p>I think you mean an " Open Curriculum". Amherst is one.
Even though a school might not have a core curriculum or distribution requirements, you will still have requirements for majors/concentrations. Many such schools also will have a writing course requirement, though this might be done in the context of a freshman seminar</p>
