Yeah, I really like Northeastern, but its a comfort/reach school according to my college counselor. Any other advice?

please help!!!!!

How about UMass Amherst?

I also like it a lot. It has everything I want and its a comfort. ITs my number 1 comfort school.

More Help Please!???

Before my SAT scores were CR=510 M=660 W=640 CR+M= 1170
AFter October 14 they are CR=620 M=620 W=620 High cr+m= 1280
does this change anything for me? like make it easier for me to get into some schools? and if so, should I look for more harder ones?

Safety= Marist
COMFORT---UMASS- AMherst, Quinnipiac, University of New Hampshire, Ithaca Colllege, Rutgers
REACHES--- Syracuse, Penn State- University Park, University of Delaware, University of Connecticut, Northeastern

are the above rankings good? like is UNH really a comfort or a safety now? the above table is based on my older SATs.

Don't know about the others but you obviously greatly improved your chances for Penn State UP. You did apply already, right? (with rolling admissions applying asap also improves your chances)

id say uconn would be a safety/match for you...its not really that hard to get in here....

congrats on improving that CR score! This definitely moves you up to a match for Northeastern, since SATs are now higher than the average scores (although given its low acceptance rates - under 50% - it's still not a safety).

With your new scores, psu looks good but you need to apply before Nov 30. I know some great students who were rejected because they applied late. I went to SUNY ALbany and my son is at PSU - PSU seems to offer MUCH more and has a much nicer campus (although it is quite expensive for OOSers). Good luck!

should i apply to some harder schools then? if so, which ones?

o btw, i want them to be above maryland. so northeast.

can anyone tell me if i should apply to harder colleges now?

bump bump bump.

if i should apply ot harder schools, which ones?

No-
Your SATS are higher which gives you a better chance at acceptances but your list still looks like it has a good range of choices. If you feel the need to be challenged there are honors programs at some of the schools that you could apply for (Penn State has Schreyers for exmple). I do not know much about them or their requirements but you could look for past links.
But I really think you are OK with the choices you have.

Schreyer at PSU has a SAT (old) min of 1350. They do make a few exceptions but the avg SAT is 1420 - so I think that would be a big reach.
Current choices on your list still look good.
