Hi everyone,
In the fall i'm going to be a senior in high school in New York State. I'm looking for a college with good history, science, and film programs. I'm not sure of what I want to major in, but I would like to be either a movie director, a professor at a college for history, or a genetic biologist. Does anyone have any recommendations? Colleges in New York State would be great, but any other around the east coast would be excellent.

What are your stats? What can your parents afford? What are your preferences in terms of location, size, frats/sororities, liberal arts v. university, public v. private, etc.?

I have around a 3.5-3.7 gpa and have taken aps and gotten 4’s. My parents have some money saved away and are ready for costs, and I also have $40,000 my great-grandfather left for me. I’m in the Buffalo, Ny area and I’m defiantly going away. I’m not going to join a frat, I’m thinking a lot about the liberal arts. I’d like to go to whatever school (public or private) that has a great atmosphere, has a good old world feel to it, and it affordable (I may be getting a doctorate). Thanks!

What about your SATs? Going to a private school or an out-of-state public can cost over $50K/year. Can your parents pay that much? The SUNYs are very affordable good schools. You should consider some of them in your list.

my highest sat score was a 1640. I’m currently taking a review course up until the October exam, which should really help. the suny schools will defiantly be a great option.
