Collegetown Apartment Locations

Can anyone give a list of good collegetown apartment locations and their addresses? I'm looking for an apartment/suite type apartment, not a house type. Probably going to room with 3-5 other people from my fraternity.

Sorry if this sounds uninformed or general, I just have no idea where to start looking.

The best apartment is 312 College Avenue.

Among the other top ones are Eddygate, Collegetown Plaza and Collegetown Court.

more appropriate question: what is your budget? 312 is SUPER pricey (easly over 1000 per person per month) and the most expensive apartment buildings are closer to college ave. do you want to live in an apartment in a house or in a building?

there are a lot of factors that go into finding housing in collegetown. go to the major landlords and see as much as you can.

227 linden is a good building too.

Collegetown sucks. If I had to recommend, 205 Eddy’s pretty chill.

i dont really know my budget, but im currently living in a frat thats sort of cheap, so maybe around the same range. but a little expensive is alright (but not 312), since im’ saving money this year.

also, **** samet

Do you have an absolute value? LIke under 900? Under 800? Under 700?

all of the places mb3 mentioned are in the $700-900 range. if you venture a little further away from the dryden/collegetown intersection, you can find some gems that are cheaper than that

Ok, that’s good to know. I know its pricier around collegetown, but that’s where I ideally want to be. Are those the best options in that area (the mb3 ones above?)

I did quiet a bit of research and I personally think, as far as apartment goes, those three are the best. For about 800 a month or so, there’s also the 3 floors above Stella’s that look pretty nice (big common areas). But I’m not sure if they have like 4-5 people suites like you wanted.

You may want to decide quickly as the good suites may go quickly.

the most popular apartment buildings are eddygate, plaza, and court, like mb3 mentioned. you do need to act quickly for large groups (like the 4-5 you have) because those go first. another good option is 227 linden and 219 linden (i think thats the address). also, check out 319 college and 320 dryden. basically, you will be paying more or less 800 a month due to rent and utilities, parking, cable, etc. no matter where you end up, especially being in collegetown. there are also some really great apartments right about ctb. 407 college is managed by the same ithaca rentals company like eddygate, but it is pricier. they do have accommodations for larger groups. check out 307 eddy as well. when i did my first round of apartment shopping sophomore year (for 2009-2010 school year), i did find that eddygate, plaza, and court gave the best options. the only thing about court is that there are no laundry facilities in the building. and it sucks to have to walk outside in collegetown with all of your dirty clothes just to wash them.
