I just received the colonel robinson scholarship!!!
Did anyone else get scholarship offers today?
I think this covers tuition, room and board for OOS students...

Yes, I just got my offer today! I am a Carolina Scholar for $8000 a year. Congrats to you too!

Awesome, congrats!! And yeah - I found out today that I’m going to be a 2013 Robertson Scholar!

congrats to everyone!

Could you explain what kind of scholarship that is? Did you apply for it or receive any prior notification that you were being considered for it?

Hmmm was this over email or snail-mail? Did you attend scholarship day last week? Getting nervous because I did…I’m hoping I didn’t just get completely ignored…haha

I attended scholarship day last week. I didn’t apply for this scholarship, but apparently the scholarship day interview was for this scholarship as well.
It covers tuition, fees, room & board for OOS for four years

Yes, I attended scholarship day too. I’m sure it’s only taking you a bit longer to get it, inflagoman, (it’s by snail-mail), because everyone who attended is sure to get something!

I wonder how many OOS people got full rides…just curious

what’s the difference between carolina scholars and colonel robinson scholars?

They are both full rides for OOS students, but for in-state students Carolina Scholars is $8000, and the Robinson is much less. I’m not sure how much - I think $2500? An IS friend of mine got it but I can’t remember. Also, Carolina Scholars receive special programming; they are organized into groups where they do things outside of the classroom.

What SAT’s scores did you all get
