Colorado College or UWM?

I'm an international student from China. And now I just can't decide which college would be THE ONE =.= wish I have the Sorting Hat to help me....

My intended major is psychology, but I'm not so sure. probably would change into government/politics or social science kind of things. [Though my natural science grades were great and I love physics... so the options are multiple]

Colorado College

I am, actually, a one-task-a-time type person so I might love the Block Plan. And I've heard that the academics are great. Also, CC offers me a 7000$/yr scholarship. But I don't really know if it really IS that good.

It is said that typical CC students are upper-class white kids and the diversity is poor, also the environment is kinda conservative. It's really hard for me to do the research about CC cause info. online is limited and I can't visit the campus.

U Wisconsin Madison

typical huge university with happy students. More choices and less limitations. much more easier to picture myself on its campus and the diversity is good.

I have other choices though... like University of Washington-Seattle. I've heard bad things about it. and I'm on the waitlist of Bryn Mawr C, Grinnell C and UCLA.

Any advice? thx a lot :)

Colorado College has the reputation of being one of the most liberal schools in the country. Colorado Springs however is known as a relatively conservative, Southern town.

got it… thx  any more advice?

When I wrote Southern, I meant suburban.

I also would Echo the fact that CC is very liberal.

You shouldn’t have a problem with diversity on eaither campus.

But I would also advise an open mind and that diversity does not just mean ethnic diversity. It means gender, ethnic, sexual orientation, region, and thought diversity. Going to a school that is “liberal” specifically because it will be diverse is the opposite of diversity.

well, i don’t really mean that… And I got that idea that the liberal characteristic makes colorado college an amazing place… anyways, just hope that I can get more information about it
