Colorado College?

This is a school that I have been considering applying to for a long time, but haven't yet because I know that my stats don't match up. But I've heard that their admissions can be even more unpredictable than most schools, and I would be a recruited athlete here, so I'm guessing that would help me out a little bit. Anyway, here's my stats.

GPA: 2.8
ACT: 25
SAT: 560 on CR, 560 on M, 610 on W

4 year of lacrosse, recruited by CC.

3 years of IM basketball.

3 years of drumline/band.

Job as a busboy for 3 months now.

I've done some volunteer work, not a ton.

I'm going to be a volunteer coach for a 5th-6th grade basketball league from December-February.

I know that my stats are well below CC's averages, but the block schedule they have really appeals to me, and I'm guessing that being a recruited athlete will help, but how much?

Have you spoken to the coach?

As a recruited athlete, you are a very strong candidate for admission. Also, you may want to consider St. Lawrence University in extreme upstate (think Canada) New York state.

Regarding my recruitment, I spoke with the coach a lot during my junior year, I was supposed to fly out for the junior day to meet him and stuff, but my parents didn’t want to pay for it. Then we didn’t talk for a while, up until a few weeks ago. So I’ve started talking with him again recently, and I think I might be going out for a visit soon.

Any other thoughts?
