Hey everyone-- hope all is well and good luck to everyone who is waiting to hear!

I am very interested in colorado college: the block plan, location, everything seems intriguing
I had a few questions about certain aspects of the institution though, and was hoping anyone with applicable information would help out!
1-how much does interest count? my parents want to fly me out this summer (being from ny it would be a trek)... would this help my cause at all?
2-any personal accounts on the block scheduling?
3- i would like to major in environmental studies... does anyone have any info on this program? i feel like its location would be superb for this area of study..

Thanks SO much!

hi, i'm sorry i can't answer any of your questions because i didn't do too much research about colorado (although it was on my college list for a short while, it didn't make the final cut 'cause i felt the block plan wouldn't really work with my intent to study a foreign language extensively in college), but you should hop over to the colorado college board, i think you'll get more responses there. and do a search so you can read up on what other people have been saying about the school too. :)

that said, i think interest probably counts in one way or another, i mean it IS a small liberal arts college after all, but as to how much, i really can't say. try looking for their Common Data Set (there's a thread on this somewhere, it should pop up if you do a search) to see what their admission criteria says. good luck!

Check out my post on visits on the Colorado College board. Click on "colleges" on the left menu then on "alphabetic list of colleges" and you will see CC listed. 07Dad visits that board a lot and he is really helpful.
