<p>I'm moving from Arizona to Colorado State University, but as a transfer student. I'm really worried about making friends because it's one of those schools that has a majority of undergrads who are in state students so basically everybody already knows everyone else. People say they're up to making new friends but that's never the case. If they already formed their friend groups it would be hard to make friends. I will be going through sorority recruitment so maybe that will help but it's still intimidating and hard. Any tips??</p>
I think CSU gets such a variety of students from all over Colorado that you will have no troubles making friends. I know kids there from Estes Park, the great plains, the Western Slope and the larger cities along the Front Range. CU Boulder is the same, kids at our local high school worry about what you say here, but they end up making all new friends in Boulder, even though their best friend from high school is there somewhere. Both university communities are large, there are foreign students, and out of state students are becoming more prevalent at both our flagship schools. You will love Fort Collins, is a nice city, and friendly atmosphere. ( I lived in Fort Collins as an adult for nine years, live in Longmont now to be closer to Denver and Boulder jobs) . Good luck.
