I know exactly what you mean, im just hoping since the admission officer met me face to face she might give me a little advantage or something, ahah i don’t know, im desperate. I’m also kinda hoping all the people that win those insane awards go to harvard or yale or something secretly hahah

I’m regretting applying for CC now… I think I’m gonna suffer taking courses for the Core Curriculum if I accepted in.

lol die4columbia same here everybody keeps asking me when I find out if I got in because I’ve wanted to go there for years. If somebody could chance me tho i’d greatly appreciate it =)

@collegeftw: it’s like Stuyvesant…tech.

Gagafan: did you apply ED?

@Gaga from what you typed I get that you’re really passionate about music and your scores are definitely on par for Columbia. I’ll read your essay if you’d like. Is your intended major music? If so, if your clarinet recording wasn’t all that great, I’d be kinda wary. But if not I’d say its definitely a target school, you have a good chance. Not to be racist, but all colleges, regardless of what they say, take it into account. What’s your ethnicity and region you’re applying from?

hey not to be pesky, butttt now that it has been another day, did everyone receive the financial aid status email from columbia?

Oh haha didn’t even think to include my stats I’ve been so crazy since December 1st rolled around and I realized the 9th was actually coming and not just a myth.
CR: 730 M: 690 W: 760 = 2180/2400, 1420/1600
sat2s spanish 750 (bullcrap) and math II 700
National hispanic scholar, gpa (out of 100) is like a 97.1? my school doesn’t do unweighted so that’s just what it is… but I mean yeah I know it sounds horrible but I’m hoping the URM and the low income thing will help me out… my interview also went really well? does anybody who has a friend/relative who’s been through this process before know how much of an influence the interviewer has in the admission decision?

die4columbia yea that’d be awesome! yes i applied ED and i indicated on the common app that Biology was my top choice followed by music and business but i only want to minor in music. how can i send u my essay?

and yes, sorry I did get that email I got it last night

oh and i’m white from northern ohio

@aseret5793: I did.

@ gagafan

Any chance you’d be willing to share that essay? And as for your stats – well, they’re undeniably excellent. Maybe your ACT score could be a bit higher. But it probably won’t make a difference. You seem a compelling applicant – which is why I’m interested in reading your self-described “epic” essay.

sure how can i send it to you photo?

I got mine in my spam folder the other day.
Kinda concerned about my decision getting sent into spam…

New here! But I am also applying ED to CC. I’m freaking out…

do our decisions get sent via email or do we just get an email that says we can check our status on the website?

We just get an email that says we can check our status on the website.

when do we get the confirmation email that tells us when they will upload their decisions?
