You have very solid ECs and GPA, but SAT may be on the low side? Overall I’d say that though it is still a reach because it’s Columbia (it’s a reach for everyone lol), you have a really solid chance!! Maybe even low reach?

Chance me back for Columbia as well?: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1788911-chance-me-for-columbia-others-ill-chance-back.html#latest

Thanks!!

Thanks for your input! @shadyconcepts, I will chance you right now!

I think you have a very good chance of getting in. Yes, your SAT score is not a 2400 but I truly believe that Ivies, especially Columbia, look at the person and his/her circumstances, not just test scores. This is all just my speculation which I believe after looking at numerous posts on CC and also because I have a unique life story to put on my application. Nonetheless, I think that you will look like a great applicant this fall during Columbia admissions! I wish my best of luck to you and hopefully I will see you with the rest of the class of 2020 in the fall of 2016!!

You SAT’s are low for Columbia or Princeton, but being foreign obviously will help.

As a 2015 Columbia admit I’d say you have a very good chance, assuming your essays are incredible. Start sooner than later, scrutinize every word, and be candid. Good luck!
