Im currently a junior in a prep school in virginia. i want to go to columbia university and i'd be applying to it in the fall of 2011 for acceptance into the fall 2012 class. I have a weighted GPA of 3.7 (and its been going up every year). I took AP World History last year and got a 4 on the exam. Im taking 4 APs and an honors course this year and im doing well in them. Ill probably take as many if not an additional AP next year (for a total of about 9 or 10 APs in my high school career) and i expect to do well on the AP exams. My SAT is just over 2000. I play 3 sports, work during the summer, have plenty of arts credits. i'm sure i can get good letters of recommendation from teachers. I'm weak in the volunteer work area but i might be able to change that since i have some time left.
So what chances do i have to get in and what can i do to improve them?

typo there sorry i got a 3 on AP world history last year, forgot to include my 31 ACT score also, sorry for the oversight

unless you are a URM you probably want to raise all of your scores

assuming you meant UNWEIGHTED 3.7, and you meant to say 14 APs, not 4; then you might have a chance.

if you meant a WEIGHTED 3.7 and 4 APs, then no.

I have been admitted to the Kelley School of Business in fall 2011 for undergrad Business Administration but my SAT SCORE was only 1820. I wish to apply for transfer to Columbia University next year. what are my chances of getting through???
