<p>Your URM status will help so you probably have a shot with the strong SAT score, very strong for a URM.</p>

i think that you have a good shot for a number of reasons:
1. you're latina (affirmy action babessss)
2. You have a fair amount of leadership and community service
3. the depression problem would make a very meaningful essay if done right. I dont mean to underplay what you went through, but it's the truth...
4. your SAT scores are pretty good!</p>

<p>the only thing holding you back would be your GPA, and most of the competitive colleges say that the first thing they look at is your gpa</p>

<p>but dont fret - you have a very decent shot</p>

<p>I wouldn't dream of mentioning the depression. My college conselor won't let anyone mention anything that smacks of personal problems. With your rank and score no excuses are needed anyway.</p>
