Columbia Application Tracking System

Called today. They told me to have my counselor fax the test scores in. This seems to be the action told to many people here on CC who don’t have their test scores on file. So if anyone is still having issues with test scores, just fax them.

The person on the phone’s exact words were: “There are sometimes discrepancies between what was actually sent to us and what we have online. So at this point please have your counselor fax us your test scores.”

I don’t really know what’s going on…

I had the same problem. My October SAT showed up but not December. I emailed them and received no reply after 10 days, after which I called them and was told to have a guidance counselor fax the scores. Sent fax yesterday, waiting for update. What the hell, Columbia.

For each SAT reasoning test,is it enough to fax only the Summary page or do we need to fax the full score report(which is a 10-page thing)?

I was unable to fax the whole score report (I don’t own a fax machine, and neither I faxed through school, I faxed through a typing office, and they charged $3.67 per every page 1-side) and I had some 13 pages or so. I only faxed the summary page, along with results page of CR, M, and Writing, I disposed of everything else.

^Thanks murtaza…that makes sense, with Columbia struggling as it is with all the volume,my thinking too was that they don’t need all the extra stuff,I’m thinking of sending only the relevant pages.

Just to clarify: they said to ask your counselor to send it. Not yourself.

Well its true, they actually said that the counselor to fax the score, but for ME, I’m taking a gap year and so I’m not able to go back to school frequently and not in touch with my counselor much, so they said to fax the score yourself.
OF COURSE, you better ask Columbia first as to how to send your scores…

A week had went by since I faxed my SAT/TOEFL score, nothing got updated on the tracking system, I called Columbia to check out about my scores, and after giving my Columbia ID, they confirmed that they DO have my SAT/TOEFL scores, finally no worries! :)

I discussed with my counselor and she felt it would be safer to resend the SAT report through collegeboard again, even though she faxed it too.She said since time was running out, better not take any chance. So I did just that(don’t so much mind the extra 10 bucks, but hate paying even a penny to collegeboard though, lol!!).
Hopefully, one or the other should work.

will they contact you if the sat scores you listed on commonapp have not been received by them?

^^^^ probably not, because of the many applications they have received.
