columbia application...why?...(originally posted in wrong section)

ok i looked at the pdf of the columbia application, and there is a section where your counselor has to fill out your SAT scores/AP scores/SATIIscores. why the heck is this?? you already report your scores in the info that you fill out and have the scores sent from college board.

and my school is really crappy in terms of sending kids to top universities so the counselors are kinda lost...HOW are they supposed to know all of my test scores?? it's not like my school keeps a record of them. i think this is really dumb.

and on the application, for the five slots (counselor form) that they give u for ap/satII scores, can you just fill all five with ap scores after you previously listed your satII scores in the info you were supposed to fill out?

i'm class of 2014 btw

what if you lied about your testing? good way to catch you in the act. and most schools keep records of official testing. i am sorry yours does not.

well the counselors are pretty much disconnected
geeez as in people actually make up sat scores?? geez

so when i am filling out the application, what am i supposed to do?? do i just tell my counselor my scores? do i fill them in for her??

and what about my ap test question?? because i want to report my ap scores, but there’s no other spot except for that dumb counselor rec form

don’t need to tell them your scores, if they don’t know it, more than likely they wont fill it in. you wont be disadvantaged for having a bad counselor (just make sure he/she submits the stuff on time). make up for it though by having very strong teacher recs from people who know you well.

Your high school receives copies of all your scores (as long as you provide the code when you register for the test).
