chance back!
pretty epic scores you got there, so no issue there

those indy projects you did… do they have any real world applications or anything, because if so that should be conveyed

your ECs are kind of, well, boring, nothing is standing out to be quite honest, so that’s a problem for the biggies

columbia - low to mid reach, write some good essays and you’ll have a good shot
brown - same as columbia
NW - high match, low reach ish?
U of M - match/you’re in

Apply ED to Columbia and you’re looking at a really low reach

columbia/brown - mid reach
NW - low reach
UM-Safety

L. O. L. @ Being the SPL of your troop… When you earn your eagle, put that on there, I used to be SPL, it’s meaningless, someone’ll know that and it won’t give a good impresion of you…

bumpbump~~~

YOU ARE DEFINATLEY IN with a. the amazing test scores b. the amazing extracirrculars and c. the leadership!
You seriously are so qualified!

Chance me back…

Eli: In my troop, it’s a pretty big deal. Why do you think so?

I guess I can add that I founded and am President of the chamber music program for winds at my school.
I am also a student conductor (not that it matter much…)

Responsibility-wise it might be a big deal, but I just don’t think it belongs on a college application…

Columbia- Low reach
Brown- Low reach
Northwestern-Low reach
UMich-match/safety

You have to remember Columbia and Brown cares about demonstrated interest. why you want to go that college etc and NW is getting pretty unpredictable these days as well so all the best!

What do you mean by “unpredictable”?

sa0209, I might have a bit of information on that. Statistically speaking, with no outstanding activities, no jobs, no volunteer, and a rather low GPA (3.7 unweighted), I shouldn’t have gotten in. Heck, I wasn’t expected to get into any of the top UC’s (Berk, UCLA, UCSD). But I got into Northwestern. And NU rejected our rank 2, who got every single Ivy + Duke, etc.
