I am planning to apply ED. I am Hispanic/White male and from CA. Majoring in Computer Engineering

You have a pretty good shot, especially as a URM, It’ll come down to your essays.

Had a friend admitted to Columbia with slightly better stats but as an ORM.

Thanks for input I’ll keep the essays in mind!

Give it a try. Being URM and apply ED would help.

Bump please post your opinion

bump it to the limit

Really strong chance.

0% chance, dude. Columbia only accepts non-sassy kids.
Try El Camino?

As a Hispanic, that may work in your favor, otherwise your stats are average for an applicant, meaning the insane acceptance rate also applies here. As ED, you have a better chance, upwards to 20% I recall. ECs are not special (which is true for my case and I regret it so much), and test scores will be good enough. Good luck, Columbia is my #2 school!

(Next to Penn that is, chance me back please?
