Well, I got a ‘similar’ letter through mail in India around 20 days back, though not exactly same. I was surprised for they never reach out through mail. But it probably means nothing.
Got the same email! As much as I wish it meant something, it probably doesn’t haha.

Are these most recent emails being received by domestic applicants or only international?

5 days! So scared
I didn’t get anything either (also domestic). From what I’m reading, it appears to be a promotional e-mail, but why would they send it to people who have already demonstrated their interest in Columbia by applying ED?
@BrynMawr61 Don’t worry! We’re all feeling nervous together! I think I’m going to spend the next week working on my regular apps; it’ll keep me busy in case I don’t get in.
@aniiii Remember that there’s nothing you can do now, your fate is in the hands of admissions officers and they’ve most likely already decided if you’re accepted or not. It’s okay to keep it in the back of your mind, but try to forget about it for the most part.
@allista That’s very true! It’s doesn’t make sense to send promotional things to ED applicants. Lol! But that’s smart, I have lots of apps left to do! I’ll do them this week!

And @allista that’s a good idea!!! I think I’ll get some applications done so when I get my decision (assuming it’s bad) I can go ahead and apply to some more places! And that will help keep my mind off of things
I have already finished my regular apps, but I just feel like no other school will ever mean to me the same as Columbia! I just really dont know how I will react if I get rejected

I’m a domestic applicant, didn’t get the email either - as was already pointed out, it’s a promotional email so it is kind of strange to send it out to those who have already applied ED. I do remember getting emails like those back in October, though. Also, what cindytufts posted is clearly directed towards international applicants. It wouldn’t make sense for a domestic applicant to get that same exact email posted on here. Regardless, at this point I guess we will just have to sit back and wait - only five more days left!

Did anyone get an email a few days ago about how decisions are definitely released on the 10th at 6:00 pm?? It was titled “Your Columbia Application” so I kinda freaked out thinking it was the actual decision but it was a major fake out…
