My only thought is that it is interesting that “National” is in the name if it’s for NYC only…
This is a question that was asked earlier in the thread but wasn’t really answered. Did everyone applying for FA get IDOC requests from Columbia? I figure that they probably request it from everybody, but it’s probably worth asking.
@jackpet by any chance were you early admitted? I haven’t received anything yet, anf I was wondering if I could still qualify.
@ raymoo I applied to Columbia during the regular action. I did not even know this program existed until last week when I got this notification?? I think you could still qualify because it did not sound like I had been admitted.
Hey guys, international student here! I got an email from Columbia about a month ago asking me whether I would like to be considered as an applicant to the College or the School of General Studies because I graduated from high school over two years ago. I decided to remain a candidate for the College. Do you think the fact that I was given the option to apply for either is a good sign given that normally you can only be eligible for one or the other?
@Ayieee they gave me the same option. I think they extend the option to all candidates who have been out of school for more than a year.

@Ayieee college. I know it lowered my chances of admissions, but I’m really not interested in GS at all.
Same. Average age of 28 is a bit too old for me. Had any more contact with Columbia since?
Just a couple communications with their financial aid office. Nothing from admissions.

@Ayieee I live in CA now and I went to HS in MN. Columbia doesn’t do interviews if you don’t live in the same area as your high school, so I knew I wouldn’t be interviewed.
Let’s just hope that by some miracle we both get in!
Have any of us LL kids gotten the promised early financial aid estimate from Columbia?
