So, the thought suddenly entered my mind that for Columbia, I'll have to choose one of the schools to apply to. Right now, I'm imagining my major to be Applied Mathematics (with a minor in some science), because I want to be a part of scientific research and the calculations and math that is needed in that area. I'm a female from SC.

Obviously, with that major I have to apply to SEAS. The thing is, I'm scared that I'm going to change my mind or be too overwhelmed and realize that it isn't the major (or part of school) for me. I was also wondering what the difference between housing/social life/class opportunities/etc. was for the two schools. What should I do?

Just apply for SEAS since it would also raise my chances? Or apply for the normal CC and decide what to do later?
